Esmeralda Tuazon was born in 1961, the second of six children She helped her impoverished family by selling chewing gum. She studied at the Rajah Soliman High School She was introduced to producer Baby Martinez of MBM Productions by a mutual friend. She was then cast in Bitayin Si Baby Ama (1976), the movie that made a star of Rudy Fernandez. After her second film, Alas (1976), with Jun Aristorenas, she was given minor parts in several other pictures then dropped out of the movie scene for almost a year. When she came back in mid-1977, she was a contract star of Jesse Ejercito's Seven Star Productions. She became quite visible in the 1970s, in such films as Dabiana (1977), Miss Dulce Amor, Ina (1978), Atsay (1978), Menor de Edad (1979), Gabun: Ama Mo, Ama Ko (1979), Bedspacers (1979), and Swing It, Baby (1979). After acting in two very relevant films for 1979, Ishmael Bernal's Aliw and Lino Brocka's Jaguar, Ms Austria was finally a lead star in Nang Bumuka Ang Sampaguita (1980). At a time when female parts in Filipino cinema were strong and revolutionary, Ms Austria became a busy actress: Langis at Tubig (1980), Sugat Sa Ugat (1980), Goriong Butete (1980), Tondo Girl (1981), Pusong Uhaw (1982) and Waywaya (1982). In the 1990s and well into the 21st century, she still gives powerful supporting performances such as The Flor Contemplacion Story (1995), Muro-ami (1999), and Pagdating ng Panahon (2001), which starred Sharon Cuneta. Austria has two Best Actress awards for Brutal (1980), from the Film Academy of Movie Arts & Sciences (FAMAS) and Metro Manila Film Festival; three Best Actress awards for Celestina Sanchez A.K.A. Bubbles (1988), from the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) and the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). She has three Best Supporting Actress awards: for Jaguar (1979), given by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino ("Gawad Urian Awards"); for Narito Ang Puso Ko (1992), from the URIAN and the FAP; and for Anak (2000), given by the FAP. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Mano Po (2002), by FAMAS. She and Phillip Salvador, together with the late director Lino Brocka, represented the Philippines at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival, where Jaguar was shown at the Directors' Fortnight.- Isko Moreno was born on 24 October 1974 in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. Levi Celerio, had his left hand injured when he was just a child due to climbing up a tree. the reason why he did because he was following his father, the day his father abandoned him and his mother. That's also the reason why in every show he couldn't play for a long period of time. "Celerio" is the surname of his mother. His mother prefered to let her son use her surname because she was not married to Levi's father. Levi Celerio now have a successor of his talents, not only through his son's and daughter but through his Biological grandchildren, Louis Brando Celerio and Joan Levinia Celerio.- Ricky Belmonte was born on 24 December 1947 in Gagalangin, Tondo, Philippines. Carl John Barrameda was born on 12 October 1993 in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. He is an actor and director, known for Maalaala Mo Kaya (1991), Road to Starkada (2023) and Alexis: Happy Together (2017).- Lydia Jurado Velasco was born October 27, 1919, in Tondo, Manila. The eldest of nine children of Gregorio Velasco and Maria Jurado, she married John Robert Price, an American. She finished high school at the Mapúa Institute of Technology (MIT) and obtained a Pharmacy degree from the Manila College of Pharmacy and Dentistry. It was film actress Lilia Vizconde who brough Lydia to Filippine Films Studio, where she caught the eye of Luis F. Nolasco. Director Carlos Vander Tolosa was so impressed with Lydia's beauty that he promptly wrote a script for her, Dalaga, Isang Ngiti Mo Lamang (1940). She was given the screen name "Norma Blancaflor" for exotic appeal. Her second film was Sa Dating Pugad (1940), where she played second lead. Her first lead role came in Hatinggabi (1940). Her other prewar films include Bawal na Pag-Ibig (1940), where she played the daughter of Angel Esmeralda and Maria Clara Ruíz; Binibini ng Palengke (1941); and Binibiro Lamang Kita (1941). During the Japanese occupation of Manila, Ms Blancaflor appeared in stage shows at the Life, Lyric and Avenue theaters, with heartthrob Rogelio de la Rosa. After the war, she signed an exclusive contract with LVN Pictures, and had leading roles in films such as Aladin (1946), Honeymoon (1946), Victory Joe (1946), The Voice of Freedom (1946), Bagong Manunubos (1947), Miss Philippines (1947), Huling Dalangin (1948), Isang Libong Pisong Kagandahan (1948), Manugang at Biyenan (1948), Sumpaan (1948), Puting Bantayog (1948), and Parola (1849). Ms Blancaflor was declared Best Actress of 1940 at the awarding rites sponsored by the Bureau of Commerce, held at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila. She won it for Dalaga, Isang Ngiti Mo Lamang (1940), which was also declared Best Picture and its lead, Ely Ramos, as Best Actor. After the war, in a test conducted by Ansco Technicians for LVN Studios, Ms Blancaflor, who possesses one of the most beautiful faces in Filipino cinema, got a perfect score for Complexion Compatibility in color films. Ms Blancaflor died in October 12, 2004 of aneurysm.
